Yes, there are real gemstones in the vodka bottle. Diva Vodka is a wheat-based vodka that is triple distilled. The process of obtaining such an interesting type of alcohol is not as simple as it may seem.

To deserve having real gemstones included in the bottle, the vodka is filtered through Nordic birch charcoal and through crushed diamonds and gems like emeralds and rubies.

Being one of the most expensive drinks in the world (no wonder!), this vodka will run you anywhere from $70.00 up to $1,060,000!

The crystals are in a glass tube and can be used as a garnish. The 48 crystals in each bottle include cubic zircona, smoky topaz, pink tourmaline, amethyst, citrine and peridot. They are all handpicked and uniquely arranged.

So, I’m dazzled. I don’t know whether the gemstones come with the vodka or vodka comes with the gemstones. What do you think?

Yes, they are! And I have found that there actually is a way of combining my two love: food and jewelry.

Fruit and jewelry lovers from everywhere, I have news for your ears … er, fingers! There are deliciously edible dried fruit rings and the designer is Cathy at La Prochaine Fois. Even if  I’m curious to see how these rings stand the test of time, I believe they will become more beautiful with fading. No matter what will happen, I adore these rings made from dried fruits.

After browsing around and looking for noteworthy jewelry designers on the web this morning, I came across Ashley Hilton.  Nice work he did with those fruit alike pendants and rings! Here’s a taste.

To make things better, his creations is not only fabulous, but eco too. He makes his jewelry in New Zealand in the kind of closed loop manufacturing that makes you feel great about buying something so unique.

Ashley Hilton is one of those jewelry designers that strongly believe in “ethical gold”. This means that the production of his eco jewelry makes  “as low an impact on the world at large as possible” byfabricating his own metal or  recycling old and heirloom jewelery and makeing new pieces. A green jewelry designer he is.

This week’s jewelry not only it has an unusual design but represents a unique concept.  “Written on the Body” jewelry was created by metal smith Alice Scott of Rhode Island.

She is a passionate painter and jeweler and her creativity helps exploring a new approach in jewelry design. So what inspired Alice such intriguing designs? This “Written on the Body” ring/bracelet, as well as this kind of artistic jewelry is ment to make people aware of their own bodies.

Her unusual bracelet or I should say hand jewelry, forms a network of silver pathways much like real veins or blood vessels on the backs of our hands. Instead of a gemstone, a wrapped wisdom tooth adorns the piece.
