As a guy, the world of jewelry is fairly daunting, particularly when came the time for me to start looking for an engagement ring for my (now) wife. There are so many “basic” facts about jewelry that I didn’t know going into my search, such as types of precious metals (as you’ve mentioned), gem stones, cuts, colors, etc..
