Mana Bernardes designs one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces made from recycled treasures from the streets of Brazil. Besides being a jewelry designer, Bernardes is also a poet and visual artist who has actively joined forces with community education projects at the Museum of Rio de Janeiro and the European Design Institute of Sao Paulo. She works there with teenagers and students teaching jewelry making and entrepreneurial design skills.
Mana’s works with a complete team and they refashion seemingly unusable materials such as PET bottles, phone cards, toothpicks, hair clips, plastic netting, pearls, silver, and gold into their handcrafted collection.

Hi! Love your blog! It has a fresh approach and I like that I find stuff here that I don’t see on other jewelry blogs. Anyway, would love it if you checked out my etsy shop. I sell bangles! Appreciate it and will definitely be coming back to see what else you’ve got up =)
