Swarovski crystals capture us with their brilliance, but they’re not quite diamonds… Definitely no, and the price says this up-front. Let’s not discredit them so easily because they make for great luxurious jewelry and are used all over the world. Even so, the price versus quality appears to be quite fair.

One rof the biggest accomplishment was the creation of a green crystal “Swarogreen” that is considered a substitute for the emerald. The strength and refraction properties make it a great synthetic alternative to emerald. The common metal used for their jewelry settings is rhodium plated steel.

  1. I find Swarovski crystals brilliantly beautiful but they can never take the place of diamonds. When I first came across these elegant gems, I thought that they would make a good material for fashion jewelries, having that sparkling look of a diamond stone. But of course, someone who knows how a real diamond sparkles and looks like would know the difference up-front. But nevertheless, I still appreciate the beauty that they possess although I personally choose to splurge only on top quality jewels that I can pass on to my great-great-great grandchildren as a legacy.:)

  2. I think Swarovski crystals are fab, so much less than the real thing and virtualy impossible to spot the difference. i wouldnt contemplate buying anything else now!
