Try to remember some simple rules when pairing jewelry with clothes. “The more extravagant the jewelry, the more uncluttered the clothes” is one of them. When expanding this general idea, we can think of the following:

  • Fancy necklaces go best with simple necklines.
  • Delicate and feminine jewelry fits with breezy or elegant dresses.
  • Heavy jewelry goes well with suits and pants.

I believe (and also a pack of other dedicated scientists do) that everything one wears should entirely reflect its personality. Yep, it’s the only way to feel truly comfortable and look your best. Of course, you don’t have to take my word for granted, but I’m pretty sure that you will come up to the same conclusion.

We all love to wear jewelry with the outfits that we choose to put on each day. Once we have picked our clothes for our work day or a special occasion, we then have to select the pieces of jewelry that will compliment them the most.

Sometimes it can be hard to choose what jewelry to wear with what clothes. Basically, you follow some of the same guidelines that you do when picking dresses, shoes, handbags, and hats. There are casual clothes that require casual jewelry. If you are going to a picnic and wearing shorts and a t-shirt, you certainly would not wear pearls or big diamonds. A small chain with a cute pendant and bracelet that matches would be good choices. Outdoor activities are not usually a good place to wear your expensive jewelry.
