This necklaces of spring flower is the creation of JillBliss art+creation+design. The artist presents the story of this creation and says “this necklace just make you want to skip in a field of flowers”. She has paired hand-cut and hand-sewn floral gems with a green hemp cord and teh result is a  a spruced-up hippie necklace!

Mana Bernardes designs one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces made from recycled treasures from the streets of Brazil. Besides being a jewelry designer, Bernardes is also a poet and visual artist who has actively joined forces with community education projects at the Museum of Rio de Janeiro and the European Design Institute of Sao Paulo. She works there with teenagers and students teaching jewelry making and entrepreneurial design skills.

Mana’s works with a complete team and they refashion seemingly unusable materials such as PET bottles, phone cards, toothpicks, hair clips, plastic netting, pearls, silver, and gold into their handcrafted collection.

Holly Anne Mitchell changes losing lottery tickets into a revenue generating enterprise. The American artist designs and constructs her line of jewellery out of recycled paper products. The material used are expired coupons, comic strips, stock lists, crossword and Sudoku puzzles, losing lottery tickets and used sweetener packets in the line showcased on her webs site NewspaperJewelry. The stylish collection includes bracelets, neckpieces, brooches, cufflinks, and earrings.

This week’s jewelry is a paper brooch. The design and the craft is made by FrucciDesign. Colorful and inspirational jewelry. All the pieces from the collection are truly homemade – homemade in Italy !
