Anthony Roussel is an award winning artist and designer who creates beautiful intricate sculptural jewellery. His work is inspired by the epic sweep of the British coastline and a passion for modern architecture. The materials used are wood and cork.

He works with layers to create beautiful 3D designs for its bracelets and rings. Anthony Roussel works with other woods, including maple, ash and sycamore. The wood, which is shaped and worked by the designer through the software that allow him to create these small sculptures to wear.

In order to get used to the eco-attitude, I’ll look for (and keep you posted with) more and surprising ways to help the environment and make our fashionable yet so healthy contribution.

Surprising jewelry can come out of some plastic bottles and a creative mind. These stunning pieces are made from used PET bottels, the ones you find whether you want to or not.

Only this time they’re so cleverly manoeuvered and transformed to reintegrate our lives I’d really think twice before throwing yet another PET.

Eco jewelry is always amazing. Full of creativity, the designs of the eco jewelry never seize to surprise me. This week’s favorite jewelry is a pair of wood earrings. Nice color and texture, isn’t it? American Black Walnut.

Just imagine how hard it was to carve those teeny trees on each earring.

They are made by garnishhome, who makes the jewelry from the off-cuts from her own furniture designs — very sustainable, eh?

When it comes to fashion jewelry, searching online can be fun and easy. You can find many styles online that you can’t find anywhere else, or would have to travel substantial distances to purchase.

It’s not just about the cocktail ring this year, necklaces are making a comeback and new fresh styles and colors are in demand. Bib style necklaces, large statement necklaces (complicated and eye-catching) with browns mixed with lots of color. Mixed media jewelry with unlikely components, colors and patterns can be seen on bangles.

Tattoo art print style jewelry on bangles and earrings offer a cool urban chicness. Again, prairie inspirations not only inspired the new floral fabrics, and western country maxi dresses but also carried into jewelry trends with the use of brown leather, turquoise stones and feathers.

Heavy metal, lots of shine and accents with crystals, rhinestones and CZ’s give that glam effect to the BoHo look. Gold and silver are both in with bright colored accents and stones on necklaces and bracelets but a must to add to your wardrobe this spring season are alternative components like leather, fabrics and feathers.

Beaded jewelry and woven friendship bracelets and rings are some of the other hot trends in teen jewelry fashion. These may take the form of uniquely designed pendants, rings or charms that have spiritual or mystical overtones.

Wood jewelry such as wood bracelets, rings, earrings and pendants are popular because most are crafted in surprising designs, colors and shapes.

It is obvious that these adornments are most suited in casual wear but there can be found also some elaborated pieces that surprise with their beauty and craftsmanship.

The natural feel and the creative designs of wood jewelry always gained my personal appreciation and every time I wear my wood bracelets I feel feminine, natural and full of energy. Does it have the same effect on you too?

Eco jewelry is a quite vague concept and in fact it means a lot of things. Eco jewelry is taking jewelry to the next level, ethical jewelry. Eco jewelery refers to more types of jewelry:

• jewelry made from non-polluting materials
• recycled materials
• “no dirty gold“
• vintage jewelry
• natural materials
• conflict-free diamonds.

A more ethical approach is also jewelry products that offer a percentage of their purchase value to a worthy cause. Buying fair trade jewelry directly supports Third World craftspeople. One example would be the Five Dollar campaign which involves people in donating five dollars from each handbag they sell sell to charitable causes in the area where the good was handmade.

Eco-jewelry are also created by artisans of South America which create jewelry from eco-friendly elements: Acai seeds, Tagua nuts, Melon seeds, Coconut, Calabash, Bamboo, Tropical Pumpkin seeds, and Orange skins. The eco-jewelry is made of biodegradable materials that have been harvested in a sustainable manner.

I was also impressed by the so called genuine sea glass jewelry, sea glass that was worn smooth only by the sea. Natural materials for jewelry are also pebbles and shells.

Eco-jewelry is in my opinion vintage jewelry that has set this trend of reusing. Also jewelry from older pieces or recycled material or metal (recycled platinum and gold), gathered from flea markets, thrift stores, family & friends is a friendly approach. Quite an unusual approach is the jewelry from actual fabrics.

Blood diamonds and gemstones have also been a center of conflict and ethical problems, for this cultured gemstones, diamond replacement or artificial diamonds are much more preferred. Clearly it’s not the same thing, but for me it’s preferable to encouraging indirectly human abuse and other social issues that are connected to diamond exploitation.

Here’s a jewelry that we haven’t quite included in our post as a main topic. Yet it is very strange because i guess they are just as effective as rings, necklaces or earrings. Jewelry lovers may lobby their personal preference and now it’s my turn. My choice: bracelets.

You may argue that’s it’s not as striking to ones appearance as let’s say earrings which bring the attention to ones face and expression. Bracelets are a more subtle type of jewelry, they don’t strike you from the start as the first thing you notice about a person is not the hands, but generally the face. I chose bracelets because they accentuate a woman’s movements, rafinement, because hands say a lot about a person.

One of my personal favourites are cuff bracelets. They are fit for thinner hands and they draw a lot of attention because of the size. Cuff bracelets have history behind and ornate hands since ancient times.

Bangles make aslo quite an effect. The bangle sound is quite characteristic.

Bracelets are just lovely in any type of shape color or material as long as they accesorize properly. Sometimes they fit perfectly an outfit, sometimes they create an impact by contrast. Use them wisely, but do use them!
